Dedicated to the memory of Dilip Bakhai

This site is a tribute to Dilip. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Dilip was born in Aden, Yemen on 24th December 1952 - the eldest son of Dhirajlal and Kumudben.

His life has been a fantastic adventure, which has seen him live is Aden, Bordi, Bombay, Brighton and Crawley.

The most important thing for him were the people he walked through life with- his brothers Girish, Umesh, Urvesh, Vipul and sisters-in-law; his sister Shobhna and his brother-in-law; his many cousins whom he cherished; his children (including his son-in-law and daughter-in-law) Amish, Chaitali, Khyati and Nish; and grandchildren, Aarav, Ria and Amaya, for whom he was the biggest cheerleader. There are almost too many people to name but most important of all, his wife, Meena - his rock, his companion, his love and his life.

Dilip decided that he wanted to donate his body for medical research and education, hence, he will not have a traditional funeral but instead we will be having Prayers and final farewells on Tuesday 22nd November at 5pm. This will be followed by a Gujarati dinner together - something he would have relished!

Please join us in celebrating his life!
